I recognize and acknowledge that I have the privilege to live and practice on the traditional lands of Indigenous peoples across Ontario. In Toronto, I share the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples, home to the Mississaugas of the Credit. Here I am a part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant - an agreement to use spoons instead of knives when we gather as caretakers of this land. In London, Ontario, I am situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Lenape peoples. I acknowledge the history and contributions of these Indigenous communities and recognize the importance of reconciliation and the need for continued efforts towards justice and respect.
