About

Hi, I’m Ashleigh — and I’m so glad you’re here.
This page is a little window into my world — a cozy place for you to get a sense of who I am, how I came to this work, and whether we might feel like a good fit. If you’re curious about working together, there’s a form below — even if you’re not ready to book, you’re welcome to reach out and ask questions.
So, who am I, and why therapy?
Well — I actually started in theatre! In high school, I dreamed of being on stage or making it to SNL. I chased that dream into university but soon realized I didn’t have the stomach for daily rejection (hello, early signs of rejection sensitivity and undiagnosed ADHD). Still, I couldn’t let go of storytelling and creativity, so I double-majored in Dramatic Art and Psychology — two fields that, to me, were all about understanding people and what makes us us.
That’s still how I see therapy today. Maybe you express yourself through drawing, or maybe a song speaks your truth better than words ever could. Therapy doesn’t have to be a couch and a clipboard and the question, “How does that make you feel?” It can be playful, creative, messy, real.
After undergrad, I took a leap and spent two years living and traveling in the UK — some of the happiest, freest years of my life. Coming back to Toronto was… rough. I was suddenly face-to-face with parts of myself I hadn’t slowed down long enough to meet. That time cracked me open — and also started my own deeper healing journey. Therapy, meds, chosen family, and time helped me begin to find myself again. And more importantly, they taught me that healing doesn’t have to be linear and that it starts with the here and now, but almost always ends up with sending love back to your childhood self.
A friend suggested I try social work, and something clicked. I completed a Social Service Worker diploma at George Brown and knew I’d found my path — though I wasn’t sure where it would take me yet. I planned to do my Master of Social Work overseas, but — plot twist — the pandemic had other plans. I stayed in Ontario and earned my MSW from King’s College in 2024. After a summer of rest and integration, I landed gently at Blueprint Counselling, and I still can’t believe how lucky I am to work in a space that feels so aligned.
Now? I’m doing little happy dances between sessions. I feel seen, respected, and like I get to bring my full, curious, ever-learning self into this work. It’s been healing in more ways than I can count.
My practice is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. I work from an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens, and I’ve found a home in modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Somatic approaches — though sometimes my Solution-Focused side makes an appearance too. If you’re curious about what those mean, I talk more about it on the FAQ page.
As for the rest of me…
I’m a queer, white, neurodivergent, cis woman who’s had the privilege of walking through life with support and safety in many ways — and who’s also known grief, loss, bullying, and abuse. I live and work on stolen land and hold that awareness close to my heart. I’m always learning and unlearning, stumbling and getting back up, doing my best to show up as my full, authentic self — and helping others do the same.
When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll probably find me reconnecting with nature, gaming with my friends, snuggling my cats, or reading something for fun (romantasy and whodunits are my go to’s) or for learning (I’m on a personal finance journey atm). I also love learning new skills just for the joy of it — and if that means hyperfixating on a new hobby for a week straight? So be it.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me. If anything here resonates, I’d love to hear from you.

I am also a client, I have also had to rely on free or no services or work within a tight budget – you are worth the cost, but therapy is not worth more stress.
